Set amongst the Somerset cider apple orchards, on Barrows Hill Farm, you will find The Little Curtain Workshop. A family run business, directed by Kathy Robins and assisted by husband Nigel, first opened in 2009.
Kathy has 22 years experience in interior design and curtain making, having studied for an H.N.D. in Interior Design and Decoration and following this, Kathy went on to work for a local company. She was trained to the highest standard in curtain making and soft furnishings.
Kathy can take you through the whole process; from choosing colours and fabrics, to exploring how they can be used within your home/business environment, to fixing up the tracks and poles and hanging the finished product.
It is Kathy’s aim to take away the stress of creating those very important finishing touches. Giving a personal service tailored to meet the requirements of the individual customer, at all times keeping the client informed and meeting deadlines.
All our curtains are made, predominately, by traditional methods, using hand stitching. Our standard finish is with cotton sateen Solprufe lining, in a choice of shades. A more luxurious finish can be achieved by using interlining which also gives thermal qualities.
Finish with one of our traditional or modern style headings, to achieve that stylish look.
Child safety, on our blinds, is very important to us. Always keeping up with the latest advances in child safe blind tracks, we currently use a system with no breakaway necessary on the chain. The breakaway comes integral with the gear box and is much easier to fix, should it come away.
Blinds can be lined or black out lined and roman blinds can also have interlining.
All work under taken is hand made by highly skilled seamstresses and fitters and personally hung by Kathy.
